Secure Fisheries – Inside Somali Fishing

One Earth Future’s Secure Fisheries program is dedicated to promoting peaceful and sustainable fisheries as a source of food security, economic security, and community resilience. The program connects fisherfolk, fishing companies, investors, scientists, and government to support the fishing sector while mitigating root causes of armed conflict.

With this important mission in mind, Secure Fisheries needed a video that highlighted the vast potential for development in the Somali fishing sector, while at the same time identifying the many challenges that need to be addressed in order to fully realize that potential.

Inside Somali Fishing spotlights the personal accounts of local fisherman and combines that with data about fish catch in the region through infographics.
